Air Fryer Italian Stuffed Peppers

Ingredients

  • 4 medium red peppers, stems and seeds removed - cooked in boiling salted water for 3 minutes
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 16 ounces lean ground beef
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 2 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer as to 390°F
  2. Sauté the onion and garlic in the olive oil in a small nonstick pan until golden and remove to cool
  3. Mix the beef, cooked vegetables, half a cup tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce,half the shredded cheese, and season with salt and pepper, in a bowl
  4. Divide and stuff the peppers - top with remaining tomato sauce and cheese
  5. Place in the air fryer basket. Add back in the pepper tops if you want to add them to the presentation
  6. Set the timer to 15 -20 minutes, and cook
