If you love pizza, then you’re probably familiar with stromboli. It’s a rolled-up pizza filled with cheese, meat, and other delicious toppings. The best part about stromboli is that you can customize it to your liking, and it’s a great meal to share with friends and family. But have you ever tried making stromboli in an air fryer? If not, you’re missing out!

An air fryer is a small kitchen appliance that uses hot air to cook food. It’s a healthier alternative to deep frying because it uses little to no oil. The air fryer has gained popularity recently, and for a good reason. It’s easy to use, quick to cook, and produces delicious results. You can use an air fryer for cooking various foods, including chicken wings, french fries, and even stromboli!

Making stromboli in an air fryer is simple, and the results are delicious. Here’s how you can make air fryer stromboli at home.

Air Fryer Stromboli Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup sliced green bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup sliced red onion
  • 1/4 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Italian seasoning, for garnish

Air Fryer Stromboli Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough into a rectangular shape. Make sure the dough is not too thin (you do not want it to tear when you roll it up).
  3. Spread the marinara sauce over the pizza dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the marinara sauce.
  5. Add the sliced pepperoni, black olives, green bell pepper, and red onion on top of the shredded cheese.
  6. Roll up the pizza dough tightly, starting with the short end. Pinch the edges to seal the stromboli.
  7. Brush the beaten egg over the stromboli, and sprinkle Italian seasoning on top.
  8. Place the stromboli in the air fryer basket and cook for 12-15 minutes or until the stromboli is golden brown and crispy.

How to Reheat Stromboli in an Air Fryer

Reheating stromboli in an air fryer is easy and quick. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F, then cook the stromboli for 5-7 minutes or until heated through—no need to flip.

Air Fryer Stromboli Tips

You can use any toppings you like for the stromboli. Try using cooked sausage, ham, bacon, or vegetables like mushrooms or spinach.

Ensure the stromboli is tightly rolled to prevent any filling from falling out. If you’re using store-bought pizza dough, let it come to room temperature before rolling it out, and this will make it easier to work with.

Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket. Cook the stromboli in batches if necessary.

Benefits of Making Atromboli in an Air Fryer

For a healthier alternative to deep-fried stromboli: When you deep-fry stromboli, it absorbs a lot of oil, making it high in calories and unhealthy. Using an air fryer, you can make crispy and delicious stromboli without all the added fat.

Quick and easy: The air fryer is a quick and easy way to cook stromboli. It takes only 12-15 minutes to cook, and you don’t have to preheat an oven.

Perfectly crispy crust: The air fryer circulates hot air around the stromboli, giving it an evenly cooked crust.
