Fancy a Chinese inspire dinner? Here we have crafted the basic battered pork, you’d most likely recognize it’s style from the Chinese takeaway Sweet & Sour, Szechuan, or Hot & Sour. Ingredients
- 2 pounds Pork cut into 2.5cm chunks
- 2 Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
- 1 cup Potato Starch (or cornstarch)
- 1 pinch Chinese Five Spice
- 3 tablespoons Canola Oil
- Salt and Black Pepper to season
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 340°F
- In a mixing bowl, combine the starch, salt, pepper and Chinese Five Spice
- In another mixing bowl, beat the eggs and add Sesame Oil
- Dip each pork piece into the starch, covering it, but shaking off excess Next, dip each piece into the egg mixture, then back into starch
- Spray the covered pork pieces with oil
- Place the pork into the air fryer basket
- Set the timer for 10 minutes (or until pork is cooked), shake the basket during cooking for best results.
- Serve with your favorite veg and sauce, we'd recommend Sweet & Sour
